Mr. Nicholls asked the class why we thought this picture was named wrong? Some suggestions that were mentioned, was that it was an odd place for the man in the picture to stand directly in front of a palm tree. Also because the picture was in black and white, the darker shades to the picture is unable to make out. However by John Baldessari giving the title of this picture wrong, it makes the readers think harder about what's wrong with the picture. Although to some people this photograph is amazing through the eyes of others. |
In the first 2 lessons of photography GCSE our class has been looking at the artist John Baldessari, but a specific photo of his called wrong. On a piece of paper we got asked to describe what is wrong with the wrong photo. However it ironic because it makes us try and see all the bad parts to the photo when actually nobody knows why it is called wrong. So the whole class went out on a mission to take as many wrong photos as we could in a certain amount of time, here are the photo's that me and my partner George took.
These series of photos me and George took, were what we thought of as wrong. Such as unfocused pictures, pictures that looked like they weren't meant to be taken, too far zoomed in, especially something blocking the way of the main focus of the picture. |
