Light paintingThe word photography translates as drawing (or writing) with light.
Photo = The Greek phos meaning light Graph = From the greek graphe meaning writing Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source, or by moving the camera. When making a light photograph, it is best to take it in a dark environment. By using the hand-held lights they selectively illuminate/colour parts of the subject or scene.

These were are second set of pictures using Strobe Lighting as well as using some light painting. I think most of these pictures were really successful because in my group we worked well as a team. Although some pictures we had trouble with the lighting and the position of the camera, we took on bored the problems so when we took the picture again, it was a better quality. My favourite photo was the one of me swimming in the sea, it took 3 attempts to create the perfect picture, however instead of giving up on that concept of the swimming in the sea, we kept trying until we were happy with the outcome. The main part I like about the picture are the blue waves that are really defined by the white light. Overall I think the picture turned out really well. |
HolidaysDuring the holidays me and my friends took a few pictures whilst we were at a party. We decided to make same pictures that stick with the theme of light painting. My favourite picture was the one of the bonfire and how the flames moved on a long exposure. |
